Hottest trends in winter shoes and boots
Let your inner rebel rock this winter with a range of exciting new styles now available in Hobbs.
The hottest trend for winter 2010 would have to be the over-the-knee boot and the ankle boot. The over-the-knee boot was seen on the catwalks all over Europe and comes in many different varieties from flat to stiletto, leather to suede, plain or embellished.
We realise this is not a boot that can be worn by everyone so we also have plenty of calf height boots coming into Hobbs to cater for all leg shapes and sizes. The ankle boot is a must have this winter and is extremely versatile. It comes in leather and suede, plain, or heavily embellished with zips and studs. Ankle boots look great on all legs and can be worn with bare legs (think Alexa Chung) or over tights, jeans or leggings. If you can pull off the bare leg with short dress look, you will be sure to draw attention.
Heels are again caged, embellished or in some sort of animal/snake print. The classic plain court is also big for a more elegant look.
The dominant colour palette for winter is black leather and black suede with highlights of midnight blue and taupe. Animal print is strong and comes in a variety of leopard, zebra and snake prints. For edgy hardware go for over the top zips, buckles and studs, a big look inspired by the fashion house of the moment, Balmain.
So our obsession with statement shoes continues and we at hobbs are very excited about the season ahead. Click for a preview of some of the key looks for winter.
